Billabong Garden.
What was a natural flowing grass low-lying area for stormwater and surface water runoff from neighbouring properties has been transformed into a dry creek bed and two billabongs.
The stormwater has been connected from the house into the billabong area continuously feeding fresh rainwater into the water bodies. Semi aquatic and aquatic gardens enveloped the water creating a lush planting theme with an abundance of flower colours, foliage texture and contrast.
The water pump spouts out a dancing water fountain and the cool water appeal attracts birds, frogs, ducks, dragon flies, lizards and probably many more fauna.
The canon ball river pebbles sit nestled amongst the plants and give a smooth rounding appeal to the garden.
The Kookaburra wooden sculpture provides a visual focal point and character to the space. Real Kookaburras use the sculpture as a resting place sitting on top of the tallest Kookaburra piece.
