ROYAL EXHIBITION BUILDING & CARLTON GARDENS
Our design is representative of a landscape that focuses on the centrally placed yellow granite boulder. The design line radiates out from the centre of the boulder to the indigenous glass art panels set within the water of the circular pond, semi circular deck and pergola providing relaxation place of visual interest Australian native and exotic planting set amongst these elements giving an arid planting feel to the outer perimeter of the landscape and merging into a more tropical lagoon planting theme closer to the water body.
The cooling misting unit also provides a visual element to the landscape as well as cooling the space during hot weather. Sound in the landscape adds to the atmosphere whilst garden light creates a whole different mood and look to the landscape at night. The rear of the garden is formalized with an interporation of landscape printed on to a glass art panel which frames the show gardens backdrop.
Thus our show garden is not a static landscape but a landscape that is visually appealing as well as interactive.
